We hope the following few pages will give you an insight into the accommodation we offer in our home and a taster for the wonderful area in which we live.

Rowan House is a modern split level villa with a Scottish Tourist Board 4 star quality bed and breakfast grading. It is one of Scotland's Best B&Bs (an association of 4 and 5 star private homes accommodating a maximum of 6 guests). A special feature of our accommodation is a self-contained suite for up to four people.

We are situated situated in a quiet hillside location on the outskirts of Kingussie and within 10 minutes easy walk to the centre and railway station.

For the comfort of all our guests we do not allow smoking in the house.

Our superb location, enjoying uninterrupted views of the Spey Valley and mountains, coupled with very comfortable accommodation and helpful hosts, make this an ideal choice for a Scottish holiday to remember. We have a range of guide books and maps available for guests' use and we can certainly give you advice and information on local history, flora and fauna, day trips and places of interest.

Kingussie has a population of 1,600. There are several hotels, restaurants and cafes catering for visitors and a variety of shops providing grocery provisions, a pharmacy and gift shops with an excellent selection of mementos to remind you of your visit.

The hugely successful television series 'Monarch of the Glen' has been filmed entirely on location in the Spey valley and we will certainly be able to direct you to those idyllic places seen in the series. The sixth series was screened on British Television during the autumn of 2004 and a seventh (and final) series was filmed in this area in Spring and Summer 2005.
